Britain denies Russian delegation visas to participate in OSCE session
The United Kingdom has denied a Russian delegation visas to attend the July session of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly (PA).
Interfax shared the news with reference to the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council on International Affairs Vladimir Jabarov.
"We have received an essentially outrageous response that the British government literally can't issue visas to members of the Russian delegation to the OSCE PA for whatever purpose they are visiting the country," he said.
All members of the Russian delegation are on the list of British sanctions. According to Jabarov, 'the delegates' promptly invited the leadership of the Assembly, as well as the Russian Foreign Ministry to work out and resolve the issue of providing guarantees by the British side to issue parliamentarians entry visas to Britain.
The 29th Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will take place in Birmingham on 2-6 July 2022.
