Borrell on Putin's arrest warrant: This is start of accountability process 

The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, praised the ICC's decision to issue an arrest warrant for the Russian president, noting that this is the beginning of the process of bringing Putin to justice

The EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy said that the decision of the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin for the illegal deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia is the start of the process of the Russian leader's accountability. 

"We appreciate and support the ICC's work. There can be no impunity," he added.
