Bodies of 82 fallen soldiers returned to Ukraine

Ukraine’s Ministry of Reintegration reported the information.

"Today we managed to return home the bodies of 82 fallen Ukrainian soldiers. The transfer of the bodies from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine took place with the assistance of the Office of the Commissioner for Missing Persons under the Ministry of Reintegration in cooperation with law enforcement agencies," the press service writes.

The transfer of the bodies of fallen Ukrainian defenders is reportedly carried out in accordance with the Geneva Convention.

• The Ombudsmen of Russia and Ukraine have already held several rounds of talks in Ankara, during which they primarily discussed the exchange of prisoners and the release of Ukrainian civilians.

• On April 10, another major prisoner of war exchange took place. 100 Ukrainians returned home. These are soldiers, sailors, border guards, and +national guardsmen. In total, Ukraine has returned 2,105 people from captivity.
