Bloodied embassy envelopes prove that there is no "rock bottom" for Russia

Oleksandr Khara, expert on foreign and security policy, believes that the cases of Ukrainian embassies receiving threatening letters destroy illusions regarding Russia, because it will use any methods to achieve its goals

He shared his opinion with Espreso TV.

The foreign and security policy expert commented on a number of cases when Ukrainian embassies have received bloodstained envelopes.

"These cases have more to do with psychological pathology than with diplomacy. But on the other hand, Russia is a mafia state; extrajudicial killings, terrorist attacks and supporting terrorist organizations are the norm there. Accordingly, why should they not resort to disrupting stability and influence of our diplomats abroad and trying to somehow intimidate them," the expert noted.

Oleksandr Khara noted that the Russian army cannot gain any successes on the battlefield, that is why they are targeting Ukrainian cities so that millions of Ukrainians end up in the cold and darkness, and if that does not work out, then they start looking for options to do more harm by other means.

"Such methods bring no results, because, even if one of our diplomats feels unwell in the result, the whole system will not fail and we will not agree to all of Russia's demands. However, these cases reject and destroy illusions and superficial perception of Russia, moreover, the Russians facilitate it themselves. They show that there is no "rock bottom" and they are able to resort to any methods to achieve their goal. It is actually good that Russia is showing its face, which has been hidden behind caviar, vodka, and the Valdai club. By and large, Russia is wild, except for a small percentage of Russians one can communicate with, although they have already left for other countries. Russia is a mafia state, although it is difficult to call it a state, because state institutions in Russia do not perform their functions. Such is the essence of Russia," concluded Khara.
