Biden and Sunak discuss continued support for Ukraine and challenges posed by China
US leader Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak held a meeting in San Diego, where they discussed the continuation of support for Ukraine and the threats posed by China
This is stated in the White House message published after the meeting.
The leaders exchanged views on a number of global issues, including "the challenges posed by the People’s Republic of China and our shared commitment to supporting peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region," it said.
They emphasized unchanging support for Ukraine in the face of Russia's current aggression. Biden and Sunak emphasized the importance of providing Ukraine with military, economic and humanitarian aid, as well as taking economic measures to counter Moscow's ability to wage war.
The parties also discussed other global and bilateral issues in the spheres of security, economy, trade, and ecology.
Joe Biden also met with the Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese. They "underscored their commitment to continue supporting the people of Ukraine as they defend themselves against Russia’s brutal aggression."
The representatives of the countries discussed a wide range of issues, including cooperation in the AUKUS format, regional security, countering challenges from China, as well as other problems of the regional and global order.

Bloomberg previously reported that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will discuss steps to counter China with Joe Biden and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese during his visit to the United States.
