Belgorod region authorities are looking for volunteers to dig trenches, and 16 strikes of AFU on Russian troops

The Russian Federation is looking for volunteers to construct fortifications in the Belgorod region.

Local Russian leadership announced recruitment of volunteers for the arrangement of trenches and installation of concrete cones. Those willing are offered monetary rewards.

The Armed Forces hit 16 enemy concentration areas and repelled attacks near 16 towns and villages

During the past 24 hours, the Air Force of the Defense Forces carried out 14 strikes on the concentration areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.

Also, our defenders shot down an enemy UAV of the "Forpost" type and two more - of the "Lancet-3" type.

At the same time, Ukrainian rocket launchers and gunners hit three control points and two areas where the enemy's manpower was concentrated.

During the past day, December 21, Ukrainian soldiers repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of the settlements of Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Ploschanka and Chervonopivka of the Luhansk region and Berestove, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Opytne, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Mayorsk, New York, Krasnohorivka, Nevelske and  Marinka in Donetsk region.

Russia launched 6 missile and 15 airstrikes against Ukraine during the day

Continuing the aggression, during the past day, the enemy launched 6 missile strikes and 15 air strikes, including on civilian objects in the Zaporizhzhia region. Also, the enemy launched 64 attacks from rocket salvo systems.

Situation by direction

Near the Belarusian border, the situation has not changed significantly, no signs of the formation of offensive groups of the enemy have been detected.

At the same time, in the northeastern Ukrainian border with Russia, the enemy shelled the Zarutsky district in the Sumy Oblast from multiple missile systems.

In the border area of Kharkiv region, 10 settlements were shelled by tank and artillery.

In Kupyansk direction, Novomlynsk, Kupyansk, Kislivka, Kotlyarivka, Krokhmalne and Berestove in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region were shelled.

In Lyman direction, shelling was near Makiivka, Ploshanka, Nevske, Chervonopivka, and Dibrova, Luhansk region.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy fired from tanks and the entire spectrum of artillery in the areas of the settlements of Verkhnokamyanske, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Pidhorodne, Bakhmut, Opytne, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Oleksandro-Shultine, Kurdyumivka, Diliivka, Ozaryanivka, Druzhba, Pivnichne, Mayorsk, Zalizne and New York of the Donetsk region.

Krasnohorivka, Vesele, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region were shelled in the Avdiivka direction.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy fired tanks and artillery of various calibers in the areas of Vuhledar, Prechistivka, Novoukrainka, and Velika Novosilka of the Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the settlement of Chervonohrihorivka of the Dnipropetrovsk region and the city of Kherson were shelled by missile and barrel artillery.

• Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff confirmed that on December 17, in ​​occupied Horlivka, Donetsk region, Ukrainian soldiers killed 13 Russian soldiers and destroyed equipment.
