Belarusian army is not capable of attacking - military expert Grant
The Belarusian army is very weak, as it does not have proper training, and much of its equipment has been transferred to Russia.
The British military expert, Colonel Glen Grant, said this on the air of the Studio Zahid with Antin Borkovskyi program on Espreso TV.
“The Belarusian army is very weak from the head. It does not have proper training, and a lot of its equipment has already been transferred to Russia. It is not an army that can really attack. Still, this does not mean that they cannot be forced to do it,” he said.
According to Grant, the answer to the question of the offensive from the north is in the hands of Zelenskyy.
“He must make sure that politically the entire Belarusian system and its government understand that if Belarus crosses the border with Ukraine, that's all - Ukraine will invade Belarus and liberate it from those in power. We must make it clear to them that there should be no border crossing, that it is beyond their power, because they do not have enough troops to do it intelligently. So if they attack, there will be a lot more deaths from both the Russians and Belarusians, and I don't think the Belarusian soldiers want to fight you at all, in fact, I'm sure they don't,” the expert concluded.
