Belarus puts S-400 air defense system on alert: monitoring group establishes its location
A division of S-400 air defense systems that Belarus received from Russia has been put on combat duty. It is deployed 245 kilometers from the Ukraine border
This is reported by the Belarusian Hajun monitoring group.
Belarus’ Ministry of Defense announced the deployment of the S-400 air defense system division to combat duty. But the ministry did not say where it was deployed.
The Belarusian Hajun monitoring group has established the location of the division.
“A set of S-400 air defense systems received from the Russian Federation is located on the territory of the 6th anti-aircraft missile division of the 15th anti-aircraft missile brigade, located on the outskirts of the village of Dubrovo (Minsk region),” the monitoring group said in a statement.
The Russian Federation describes the S-400 air defense system as a complex for defeating all modern and advanced means of air and space attack - reconnaissance aircraft, strategic and tactical aircraft, tactical, operational and tactical ballistic missiles, medium-range ballistic missiles, hypersonic targets, jammers, radar surveillance and targeting aircraft, and others. The Russian troops claim that each system provides simultaneous firing at up to 80 targets (with 8 SAMs) with up to 160 missiles guided at them.
