Beijing will test US's willingness to defend Taiwan by its response to Russian nuclear strike

Whoever helps terrorists is himself a terrorist, and must bear full responsibility for this, Viktor Kaspruk writes.

The attacks by the Russian forces on Kyiv by Iranian kamikaze drones indicate that the concept of the United States and the collective West on dosed military aid to Ukraine has already completely exhausted itself and needs to be revised as soon as possible. Failure to provide Ukraine with a sufficient number of air defense systems, which the Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly requested, leads to numerous victims and the destruction of infrastructure.

And Iran, feeling its complete impunity for the supply of combat drones, will only increase this criminal aid to the terrorist country, if it is not stopped right now. And it is absolutely obvious that the one who helps terrorists is himself a terrorist, and must bear full responsibility for this.

China is also maneuvering around the topic of Ukraine. And the fact that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China suddenly called on its citizens to urgently leave Ukraine due to the "serious security situation" is alarming. In this sense, it should be remembered that Putin's war against Ukraine began in 2014 after the end of the Olympic Games in the Russian city of Sochi. And the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in 2022 also took place after the end of the Winter Olympics in Beijing. The third time marker of a sharp increase in Russia's escalation in the war with Ukraine may be the end of the work of the XX Congress of the Communist Party of China, at which it is predicted that Xi Jinping will be elected General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for the third time.

In this way, Xi Jinping will effectively become the ruler of China for life, and he will have a completely free hand in all matters in which Beijing declares its strategic interests. His speech at the XX Congress of the Communist Party of China, in which he directly emphasized that the People's Republic of China must be ready for "strong winds and high waves and even dangerous storms in international politics," shows that this is exactly how it is. This correlates with a statement by Communist Party spokesman Sun Yeli that China reserves the right to use force to resolve the Taiwan issue.

"Xi Jinping will effectively become the ruler of China for life, and he will have a completely free hand in all matters in which Beijing declares its strategic interests."

In this case, Beijing knows something so special about the inevitable "dangerous storms in international politics", and the strange call for the urgent evacuation of the Chinese from Ukraine has grounds. Something is clearly wrong here.

Several options are possible, which are related to the intentions of the Russian dictator. Firstly, Putin agreed with Xi Jinping that until the end of the CPC congress, Moscow would refrain from any escalation in the Russian-Ukrainian war, so as not to spoil its ally's televised picture of the grandiose plans of the communists who are preparing to change the world. And then Beijing, knowing that the Kremlin is preparing for a provocation in Ukraine with the use of nuclear weapons, will pretend that this is exclusively an internal matter of the Russian Federation.

"Depending on the development of events in Russia's war in Ukraine, China will decide whether it is time to exercise its "right" on "legal grounds" to invade Taiwan. Beijing wants to test the United States' readiness to defend Taiwan by its response to a possible tactical nuclear strike of Russia"

The second option could be an attempt of the Kremlin to exert indirect informational pressure on Ukraine, which could mean the following: the Russian Federation has secretly spread to the embassies of countries friendly to it that it intends to use nuclear weapons on Ukrainian territory in the near future. Knowing in advance that this information will be leaked to the relevant Ukrainian services and will be brought to the leadership of Ukraine.

The third option is that depending on the development of events in Russia's war in Ukraine, China will decide whether it is time to exercise its "right" on "legal grounds" to invade Taiwan. Beijing wants to test the willingness of the United States to come to Taiwan's defense in response to a possible tactical nuclear strike by Russia.

It is very important for it. China is very far from the likely tragic events for Ukraine, and it will build its strategy for Taiwan based on America's reaction to them. If the US does not follow through on all of the things it has warned Moscow about, then this will trigger a PRC invasion of Taiwan.

Moscow needs to incite nuclear hysteria because the days when dictator Putin, for the sake of powerful PR, rode shirtless on horseback, flew with straws, and caught fish on camera in the rivers of Siberia are long gone.  After he got himself caught in Ukraine, he needed, at all costs, to restore the television narrative at home, in Russia.

But when you are already 70 years old, and you are constantly being pulled over during a press conference, riding shirtless on a horse will no longer work. It will only cause natural mockery among those who could see such a "specific" spectacle.

The senseless mass bloody terrorist attacks on Ukrainian cities with missiles and kamikaze drones are not carried out in order to win a war that he still publicly refuses to acknowledge. At any cost, Putin is trying to delay the time of defeat, the fall of his criminal regime and the inevitable punishment.

Therefore, it would be unfair to talk about the effectiveness of this "combat maneuver". The murderous PR move, which, according to his idea, was supposed to show the whole world the "power" of the Russian army and its weapons, resulted in the opposite effect.  When even in Europe they finally began to realize that they are dealing with a terrorist who does not recognize any rules, laws and obligations.

Perhaps he will soon have to dream of a cold day in hell, after all those bloody crimes he committed in Ukraine. The Russians once dreamed of landing on the moon, using rockets of their own production for this purpose. But even now, they are still using the same technologies from the 60s that prevented them from doing so. Tanks from the 60s are all they currently have in their strategic reserve, and Putin is preparing hundreds of thousands more to be mobilized, thinking that this will delay the time of reckoning.

"The murderous PR move, which, according to Putin's plan, was supposed to show the whole world the "power" of the Russian army and its weapons, ultimately led to the opposite effect. When even in Europe they finally began to realize that they were dealing with a terrorist who does not recognize any rules, laws and obligations"

The dictator does not feel the reality, and this is his main mistake. Hitting Ukraine with ballistic missiles and drones is a gesture of desperation by someone who does not want the same for Moscow. Putin's mobilized hordes cannot act as an organized effective fighting force. What other country on the planet would send hundreds of thousands to the front without training and food supplies, while expecting satisfactory results?

It's only in the propaganda videos that are constantly broadcast on Russian television, they show large columns of soldiers, tanks, and aircraft, which look very deadly and formidable, but when checked, it's all fiction.

Ukraine does not have a large army, in fact, there is no Navy, and the Air Force is small, but it has a huge motivation and focuses on the victory of its people. The Russians cannot come to terms with the fact that Ukraine is on the way to victory. Hence Putin's nuclear intentions.  However, the collective West needs to understand that much more help is needed. If Ukraine wins, the West will win, if Ukraine loses, the West will lose.

A radical decision must be made regarding Russia. And so it turns out that rockets and drones fly into the civilian population of Ukraine, people die, infrastructure is destroyed, and the world once again expresses deep concern. And this humanoid being, Putin, takes everyone for fools and amuses himself by killing people.

Obviously, there is no such thing as a perfect world, but there are a huge number of interests that are constantly changing. But the globalized world has become so small that now is the time to build a world security system in such a way that no "geopolitically insane" tyrant will ever again be tempted to wave a nuclear whip.
