Bayraktar Kizilelma with Ukrainian engine successfully passes new tests
Unmanned military aircraft Bayraktar Kizilelma has successfully passed the identification system test at medium altitude
Baykar co-owner Selçuk Bayraktar shared the information on Twitter.
Turkey's first unmanned military aircraft made its third flight at the AKINCI training and testing center in the city of Çorlu, Tekirdağ province.
"Bayraktar KIZILELMA has successfully completed the medium altitude system identification test. This was the third test we performed. From now on, many tests will continue as part of our development activities. Hopefully, at the beginning of 2024, we aim to start the mass production of KIZILELMA," Bayraktar said.
He also noted that preparations are underway for the first flight of the TB3, which will be the world's first combat UAV capable of landing and taking off from ships with short runways.
The Bayraktar Kızılelma combat unmanned aircraft is powered by a Ukrainian-made AI-25TLT turbojet engine.
