Publicist expressed his opinion about the atrocities of Russians in Bucha and other cities  against Ukrainians broadcasting live on Espresso.TV.

“ For what reason they are bombing Kharkiv, which in Russian ideological myth has always been a "Russian city" and one of the cities of Novorussia? During his Crimea’s speech Putin clearly mentioned about all regions of Novorussia, to which aggressor added Kharkiv, Odessa, Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolaiv and Mariupol. Putin said  it was a gift from Stalin and original  Russians are living there: "We gave up the territory, but our people stayed there? “. That's why Putin is bombing these  people he mythologically intended to release. Because the president of  Russian Federation wasn't going to dismiss people. Putin was going to liberate the territory for himself, for mystical Russian Empire," - Portnikov said.

Journalist is convinced, that means very simple thing: if people can be destroyed by bombing cities, why can't they be destroyed when Russian army enters the city?

"Why do  Russians need all destroyed cities? To make it easier to fight inside cities. And with whom they will fight in the cities? With the same population.  Bucha, to Irpen, to other cities are not the only ones, by the way, there are already such reports from the Chernihiv region that huge number of people were being killed there were Russians were entering without bombing, following the example of Kharkiv and Mariupol, and occupiers were destroying the population there as well. He was not going to tell people about that: about concentration camps, about  mass killings of civilians in the cities. And very important thing: how the world got to know about Hitler crimes? Hitler was not going to tell about that. Hitler was not going to leave. Russian occupiers did the same - they were not going to leave Kyiv region. They simply cleaned this territory from population they didn't need in the future ", - Vitaly Portnikov said.
