Bakhmut fields covered with corpses of Russian soldiers - Ukrainian National Guard officer

He shared the information with Espreso TV. 

"The Bakhmut direction is now one of the most difficult and hottest spots along the entire front line. Almost every hour there are offensive attempts and attacks on our positions near Bakhmut. Extremely heavy battles take place every day. Part of our unit is also located in the Donetsk direction and performs combat tasks there," said Zhorin.

The officer reported that Russian troops suffered heavy losses in battles near Bakhmut.

"The fields in front of the positions of the Ukrainian troops near Bakhmut are simply littered with corpses of Russian soldiers. Most of them are representatives of Wagner PMC. No one takes these corpses away, they are just lying in the fields and landings. Every subsequent assault attempt, they step on the corpses of their soldiers. At this point it resembles some kind of suicide attempts," he added.

Also, the captain of the National Guard of Ukraine emphasized that the enemy's plans to surround the city of Bakhmut are impossible to implement.

"Today, the encirclement of Bakhmut by Russian troops is impossible. They really want to do it. However, it is an impossible task for them at this point in time. Although, most likely, the encirclement and capture of the city of Bakhmut is their main task," Zhorin emphasized.
