Bakhmut can withstand Russian pressure - military expert Zgurets

He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.

"The Armed Forces transferred up to 3-4 brigades from different directions to the Bakhmut direction, including the brigades that fought on the right bank of the Dnipro. There was a rotation of individual brigades that held the defense in the suburbs of Bakhmut for a long time, which will increase the effectiveness of our troops," Zgurets noted. 

According to the expert, the situation around Bakhmut will stabilize in the near future.

"All enemy attempts to break through into the suburbs and enter Bakhmut from the eastern direction are further deterring Russian forces. The Ukrainian Armed Forces already control all directions around Bakhmut. The situation around Klishchiivka, where Russian troops tried to advance, has stabilized. It is difficult for the enemy to approach this settlement. Bakhmut is quite capable of holding back the Russian offensive near neighboring settlements, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine of further grinding the enemy's forces," Zgurets added.
