Attack on Makiivka: stupidity and recklessness are inextricable among Russian officers

The situation with the simultaneous destruction of several hundred mobilized soldiers in the temporarily occupied Makiivka reached a new level and again triggered a panicked mood.  The fact is that it was not possible to hide the situation, the attempt to spread information that the number of killed was 45-60 people failed and further undermined the trust in official sources of information, and each of the newly mobilized began to try on the fate of the soldiers from Makiivka. The fear of HIMARS took on new life in the minds of Russians.

The silence of the governor of Russia's Saratov region, where most of the mobilized came from, and the curator of this region, Volodin, gives the situation a special piquancy. Both are silent. Admitting the destruction of almost 600 mobilized soldiers in Makiivka is trivially scary for Russians because of the possible resonance in the Saratov region. Everything is not easy there after Ukraine's Armed Forces hit the airfield in Engels several times. So it is interesting to look at the continuation of the story in the public sphere.  After all, the authorities in the Russian Federation are not afraid of the opposition, which is cornered, but of all kinds of marches by mothers and wives, they are afraid of relatives' protest rallies, public letters and escape from the Russian Federation of those who are subject to mobilization.

Now in Russia, they are looking for a culprit who can be blamed for the fact that the mobilized soldiers were placed in a vocational school and that there was a munitions depot there, after the detonation of which there were no survivors, and all the military equipment that was standing nearby was destroyed.

Pieces of the bodies of the mobilized Russians were scattered a hundred meters from the vocational school, and the local residents could clearly see it. It was thanks to "word of mouth" that the information quickly spread in social networks and even the Russian censorship could not do anything.

The simultaneous destruction by HIMARS of an entire battalion of mobilized soldiers along with equipment requires the Kremlin to appoint the culprit. The candidate will be selected. But this does not guarantee that there will not be new similar stories. Because HIMARS continues its work, and stupidity and recklessness are inextricable among Russian officers. Therefore, such attacks will be repeated as long as the Russian military stations its troops on the territory of Ukraine. And that's for sure!
