The Prosecutor General's Office shared this information about their ongoing investigation.

During the occupation of Bucha in March 2022, Russian forces took civilians, unarmed non-combatant parties, hostage. They did not let them have food or drinking water.

"The suspects deprived people of the ability to move freely, put them on their knees, blindfolded them with adhesive tape and rags, tied their hands with plastic clamps. The victims were threatened with death and Russian forces purposefully fired shots in their direction. In their attempt to obtain information on the location of Ukraine's Armed Forces and Territorial Defense servicemen, and in some cases for no reason, Russian forces injured civilians. People were beaten with fists on their bodies, with gun butts on their legs, toes, and chest. The Russians also robbed locals, taking personal belongings and household appliances," the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office wrote.

The 10 suspects will be put on the wanted list, detained and tried. Their involvement in other crimes, such as premeditated murders, is currently being investigated.

The pre-trial investigation is carried out by the Bucha District Directorate at the Kyiv Region National Police’s Main Directorate, and operational support is provided by the Department for Protecting the Interests of Society and the State under the Ukrainian National Police.

Prosecutors in Kyiv region are grateful to the journalists who have worked on the Investigation Info project for their help in establishing the identities of Russian soldiers suspected of violating the laws and customs of war as set out in international treaties.

"If you recognize these Russian servicemen and have evidence of their involvement in other atrocities, send your evidence to our hub or contact the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office: 097-053-04-65, 097-838-31-87, 05-66- 75; Buchansk District Prosecutor's Office: 063-530-69-06", the Prosecutor General's Office added.
