At meeting with Borrell, Ukraine's PM Shmyhal calls on EU to impose sanctions against Rosatom as soon as possible
The EU should introduce the 10th package of anti-Russian sanctions as soon as possible to continue to put pressure on the aggressor country's economy
Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this following a meeting with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
“Before the EU-Ukraine summit in Kyiv, I checked my watch with EU High Representative Josep Borrell... There is an agreement that the EU will launch a humanitarian demining program worth EUR 25 million. This is an important component of our recovery, which will allow us to return normal life to the communities de-occupied from Russian terrorists,” Shmyhal noted.
He also emphasized the importance of continuing to put pressure on the economy of the aggressor country. The Prime Minister emphasized that the 10th package of European sanctions should be introduced as soon as possible, in particular against Rosatom.
