At least 8 months are needed for complete restoration of energy facilities in Lviv region

As of now, the Lviv region is 95% powered, but residents are urged to consume electricity very sparingly as restoration work is ahead

Maksym Kozytskyi, the head of the Lviv region, said this at a briefing, Espreso reports.

“It will take 8-12 months to fully restore the operation of energy facilities in our region to pre-war indicators,” Kozytskyi said.

According to him, as of now, the Lviv region is 95% powered, but electricity needs to be consumed very sparingly, because the power is supplied by a temporary scheme. Only 30% of consumers in the region can use electricity simultaneously. All specialized services are working to increase this number.

At the same time, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration, if we compare the situation with the one after the massive strikes in October, now all substations in the region have been equipped with additional protective screens. In addition, mobile operators were also able to set up work in emergency conditions faster - with the help of diesel generators, and they prepared more cars with loudspeakers to inform about the end of the air raid alert.
