As a result of invader shelling in Kyiv, a collapse occurred in a residential building
The shell hit a 12-storey building in the Shevchenkivskyi district
This was reported in the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv, Espresso.TV reports.
The message about a collapse in a residential building in the Shevchenko district of the capital was received by the Rescue Service 101 at 06:16 on March 16.
Firefighters from the nearest fire and rescue divisions went to the scene. Upon arrival, the rescuers found out that as a result of shell fragments hitting a 12-story residential building, the house collapsed on the 12th and technical floors. The neighboring 9-storey building was also partially damaged.
Rescuers began to evacuate residents from the building and eliminate individual fires.
At 07:45, firefighters extinguished the fire on the balconies of the 3rd, 10th, 11th and 12th floors, as well as in the apartment on the top floor. There is no fire observed in the nine-story residential building.
According to preliminary information, 2 people were injured, and 37 people have already been evacuated. The main and special fire and rescue equipment, as well as 35 rescuers, including psychologists from the Rescue Service, are working on the spot.
