Analysts refute Russian claim of Ukrainian refugees raising crime rate in Poland

Russian Telegram channels are promoting disinformation that the crime rate in Poland has allegedly increased due to the influx of Ukrainian refugees

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation on Telegram.

In the post, Russian propagandists refer to research data from the international analytical company UCE RESEARCH. Allegedly, 60% of thefts and violent offenses last year in Poland were committed by Ukrainians.

"In fact, the original article of the Polish edition of UCE GROUP LTD does not mention Ukrainian refugees and their criminal activities. Thus, the enemy continues to try to sow discord between Ukraine and Poland, as well as between Ukrainians themselves. The goal is to divert attention from the global problem – Russia's war against Ukraine – to a number of minor, mostly internal problems," the Center said.
