Kalush city council shared the tragic news, Espreso.West reports.

A brave soldier and a true patriot, Junior Sergeant Hryhoriy Mysyuga from Kalush, gave his life for Ukraine.  The man was 51 years old.

Hryhoriy Mysyuga was the unit commander, the vehicle commander of the motorized infantry unit of the motorized infantry battalion. He was killed on July 25 in the Donetsk region during a shooting battle, courageously and fearlessly defending the Ukrainian people, his native land.

An experienced fighter who went through hellish battles in the ATO in the districts of Popasna, Bakhmut, Krymske, Novooleksandrivka, etc. Hryhoriy went to war with Russian forces on the very first day of the full-scale invasion.

The warrior with the callsign Griffon was extremely wise and brave in battle.  Tactician and strategist. No unnecessary movement and panic. He always shared his experience with younger people.

"Each day must be started with positive emotions," said the commander, "we work harmoniously and come out alive. We change positions in time. We should not assume that this day could be the last..."

"And this day will not be extreme! Hero Hryhoriy Mysyuga will live forever in our hearts and thoughts! Thank you for your courage and self-sacrifice!," said in the sympathy of the community.

The man had a wife, daughter, sons, father and brother.

Eternal memory and glory to the Hero of Ukraine!

The time and place of meeting the deceased and his burial will be announced later.
