Ukrainian Ambassador to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar said this in an interview with Radio Liberty.
"I think that under normal circumstances, within two years it will already produce the drones themselves," the diplomat said.
Currently, according to him, Turkish experts are "completing the design and estimate documentation" necessary to launch such an enterprise.
"We are not disclosing details now until the plant is launched... Now there are certain technical details related to safety first of all. Because the Russian side has already stated that this (plant - ed.) will be an object for possible attacks. The second is the issue related to electricity supply and other technical details," Bodnar explained.
- On August 8, it became known that Haluk Bayraktar purchased a plot of land in Ukraine for the construction of a plant for the production of Bayraktar drones.
