Alongside "oligarchs," Zelenskyy defeated freedom of speech

Without freedom of speech, we will not join the EU, NATO, or get help with post-war reconstruction at the expense of Western donors

For me, the most important aspect of the Channel 5 scandal is that it has been off the air illegally for a year.

You can have different opinions regarding opposition media. But no one has even the slightest doubt that Channel 5, Espreso TV, and Pryamyy TV are patriotic channels with a strong pro-Ukrainian position. Their broadcasting could not be called pro-Russian in any way.

“When Zelenskyy said that he was happy to see Channel 5 on TV, he was not being honest. Because Channel 5 is not on TV”

When Zelenskyy answered that he was happy to see Channel 5 on TV, he was not being honest. Because Channel 5 is not on TV. Or rather, it has been broadcast. Once in a whole year. When Channel 5 journalists asked questions to which he had no answers.

Freedom of speech is the foundation of a democratic society. Without freedom of speech, we will not join the EU, NATO, or get help with post-war reconstruction at the expense of Western donors.

And here are big questions for the President of Ukraine. Because it seems that, along with the "oligarchs," the president has defeated freedom of speech.
