All confiscated Russian assets should go to the reconstruction of Ukraine - Shmyhal

Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says that all the Russian Federation's confiscated assets should be directed to rebuilding Ukraine's economy and infrastructure

He stated this during a speech at a conference on the restoration of Ukraine in Lugano, which was broadcast on Espreso TV.

"We are focusing our attention on the issue of reconstruction of Ukraine. This is a very ambitious plan for both the government of Ukraine and international partners. In particular, we are initiating consistency and stability. We have created coordination groups of representatives of the Ukrainian authorities who will participate in the implementation of initiatives. We also understand that Russian assets will be confiscated due to the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. These funds should be directed to the reconstruction of Ukraine," - Shmyhal said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that Ukraine strives and is working on a new level of security for the state.

"We strive to move to another level of security for the state, so that in the future any aggressor will know the price of a war against Ukraine. This is a very important moment. That is why we had sessional meetings where we worked on this issue. We also discussed the economic situation in the country and how we can achieve an economic miracle in Ukraine during and after the war," - he added.
