Ukrainian soldiers repelled Russian attacks in 3 directions

Ukraine's General Staff states in its daily report.

In the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group, near the border with Belarus, the operational situation remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, carries out active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to dangerous areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian attacks near the towns of Synkivka and Ivanivka in Kharkiv region. In the Lyman direction, defense forces repulsed 5 attacks east of Makiivka, Luhansk region. The Russian troops unsuccessfully tried to regain lost ground south of Andriivka, Donetsk region. Defense forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian enemy, and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, the Russian forces made over 10 unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled hostile attacks near Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Staromayorske in Donetsk region and north of Pryiutne in Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defenders are holding back the Russian enemy in the area northeast of Novoprokopivka, Zaporizhzhia region.

Ukrainian defense forces continue to conduct offensive operations in the Melitopol direction. They have had partial success north of Kopani and north of Novoprokopivka. In the course of offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut direction, they had partial success east of Andriivka, Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers are inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, continuing to gain a foothold in the occupied lines and exhausting the Russian enemy.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces are carrying out counter-battery combat, destroying warehouses and successfully hitting Russia's rear.

Russian army launches 3 missile and 67 air strikes across Ukrainian territory

Yesterday, on October 6, the Russian occupiers launched another missile attack on a civilian facility in the central part of Kharkiv. As a result of such terrorist actions, 2 people were killed and 30 others were wounded. 61 apartment buildings, 17 private houses and 10 social facilities were damaged.

Over the past day, there were 34 combat clashes.

In total, Russia launched 3 missile and 67 air strikes, fired 46 times from multiple launch rocket systems at both the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian objects in Ukraine. Private homes and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Air strikes targeted 5 settlements in Kharkiv region; 1 in Luhansk region; 8 in Donetsk region; and 1 locality in Zaporizhzhya region.

Over 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed Russian command post and air defense system

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 13 strikes on the areas of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration and 3 strikes on Russia's air defense systems.

The missile troops hit a command post, an air defense facility, 6 artillery units, a personnel concentration area and a hostile electronic warfare station.
