Air defense forces down 7 drones in Zaporizhzhia and near Dnipro

This was reported in the Eastern Air Command.

According to the Eastern Air Command, as of 22:00, the anti-aircraft missile forces and mobile fire groups destroyed seven enemy UAVs, including six kamikaze drones of the Shahed-136 type. Six drones were neutralized in the Zaporizhzhia region, and one was shot down in the vicinity of Dnipro. 

The commander of the AFU Air Force, Mykola Oleschuk, confirmed the destruction of seven drones, including six Shahed and one Orlan. He expressed gratitude to the air defense units of the AFU Air Command East.

Initially, Andriy Yermak reported the drone attack on his Telegram, stating that five Shaheds were shot down in the Zaporizhzhia region. Later, this information was confirmed by Zaporizhzhia regional military administration. 

“This is the evening of our heroes who defend Ukrainian sky 24/7. The air defense forces showed their skills and downed enemy drones successfully. We thank our military who protect peaceful settlements. Keep calm and love Ukraine. We are going to win!" the message said. 

Anatoliy Kurtev, the secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, also praised the air defense forces for their excellent work.
