U.S. to send aid packages to Ukraine every 2-3 weeks, White House team expected in Kyiv - Zelenskyy
President Zelenskyy announced that after presenting the Victory Plan to the U.S., a White House team will visit Ukraine. Kyiv will also get U.S. aid packages every 2-3 weeks, totaling $500 million to $750 million each time
He said this in an interview with journalists during the telethon.
According to Zelenskyy, the Victory Plan was first presented to the United States.
"The feedback was almost immediate. Our team went there with the General Staff Chief Bargylevych and Deputy Prime Minister Stefanishyna, and worked on the issues of joining NATO and also on the point about strengthening our army now, point 2 of the Victory Plan. As for the feedback, I am waiting for the White House team in Ukraine. We are waiting and they will be here soon with some answers," the president said.
He also spoke about the details of his communication with U.S. leader Joe Biden. Zelenskyy noted that they had agreed, as part of the Victory Plan, that Washington would provide aid packages to Kyiv every 2-3 weeks.
"We will be receiving army reinforcement packages every two to three weeks. I won't give any details. I think the packages will be large: from half a billion to 750 million dollars. This is to strengthen Ukraine as much as possible in the coming months, October-December," Zelenskyy emphasized.
The president also said that Macron would personally support Ukraine's accession to NATO, but the Germans remained skeptical.
