U.S. arms supply suspension: who’s really behind scenes?

Is J.D. Vance acting behind Trump’s back? I doubt it.

Obviously, by now everyone has read that the order to (hopefully temporarily) halt the transfer of American weapons to Ukraine was given by a certain Deputy Secretary of Defense, Elbridge Colby.

The White House and the State Department distanced themselves, stating that this was the position of the Defense Department. Do you believe that? Exactly.

It should be recalled that Elbridge Colby is the person who was promoted for the position by U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance. And this was demonstrated publicly—he personally attended the Senate committee hearing when Colby was nominated for Deputy Secretary of Defense for Policy. 

"This was unprecedented, because vice presidents usually do not attend such hearings. All Pentagon strategies are tied to Colby, not to Hegseth."

It’s a pity that many of our decision-makers only learned about Colby’s existence after the American media publicized who exactly made the decision to halt the aid.

That’s why I keep saying that the diplomatic and analytical strengthening of our foreign missions has long been limping not on one, but on both legs. Because you need to know exactly who is pulling which strings, so that the diagnosis is absolutely accurate.
