On Wednesday, April 9, the European Union transferred another €1 billion to Ukraine under the ERA initiative. This is the third tranche within the G7 initiative, funded by proceeds from frozen Russian assets
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this following a meeting with EU Commissioner for Economy and Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis in Brussels.
According to the Prime Minister, the EU funds will be directed toward Ukraine’s priority state budget expenditures.

The Prime Minister noted that this issue received special attention in Brussels.
“We also discussed the macroeconomic situation, ongoing reforms, and Ukraine’s recovery process with Mr. Dombrovskis. We thank our partners for supporting our economy and the rapid rebuilding of our country,” the Prime Minister added.
