The UK Defense Ministry reported the information.
The £162 million aid (over $207 million, according to the Ministry of Finance) is part of the new government's commitment to Ukraine.
The air defense assistance package will be announced by Defense Secretary John Healey at a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) at Ramstein Air Force Base.
He will reiterate the UK's unwavering commitment to Ukraine and call on allies to continue to provide vital equipment to Ukraine.
The first batch of LMM missiles is scheduled to be delivered by the end of this year.
“Built by Thales at their Belfast factory, the missiles are highly versatile and can be fired from a variety of platforms on land, sea, and air," the statement says.
- The 24th meeting of the Ramstein Contact Group on Ukraine's Defense, to be held on September 6, will focus on strengthening air defense capabilities for Kyiv and the Air Force Coalition.
