UK-backed convoy delivers largest emergency aid shipment to Ukraine in three years
30 emergency response vehicles and over 15,000 pieces of specialized equipment are on their way to Ukraine — the largest humanitarian convoy in three years
This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).
The equipment was procured with the support of the UK government.
“The largest convoy in three years is already en route to Ukraine! Ukrainian rescuers are eagerly awaiting the 8th humanitarian convoy from the NGO Fire AID UK, the National Fire Chiefs Council, and with the support of the UK government — particularly the Home Office,” the statement said.
The SES will receive 30 fire and rescue vehicles and more than 15,000 units of specialized equipment.
“This is the largest aid effort in recent years — and it will save Ukrainian lives!” the emergency service emphasized.
“We sincerely thank our partners and friends in the United Kingdom for their support, which strengthens our emergency responders in facing new challenges,” the SES added.
