This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

“The President has decided to lift the pause on assistance and our assistance to Ukraine in the field of security in the future. And this is actually immediate,” Waltz told reporters in Jeddah.

He said that during the talks, the Ukrainian side “made it very clear that they share President Trump's vision for peace” and “his determination to stop the fighting, to stop the killing.”

According to Waltz, the Ukrainian delegation also “made concrete steps and concrete proposals.”

“Not only by accepting our proposal for a complete ceasefire, the details of which you can see in our joint statement, but we also went into substantive detail about how this war should end permanently, what guarantees they will have for their long-term security and prosperity, but we really looked at what needs to be done to finally end this horrific fighting,” the Trump adviser said.

At the same time, Waltz emphasized that the issue of guarantees for Kyiv was raised during the talks, and Ukrainians “will have guarantees for their long-term security.”

The delegation on the next steps from Russia
Waltz emphasized that there is already a “delegation on the next steps on the Russian side” and a delegation “on the next steps on the Ukrainian side.” According to the US adviser, he will have a conversation with his Russian counterpart in the coming days when US Secretary of State Marco Rubio meets with the G7 heads of state.

Waltz also reminded that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will visit the White House on Thursday, March 13.

“And from there we will move the process forward,” he said.
