Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said this at a press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha.
"We are considering the possibility of providing additional batches of equipment, including MiG-29 aircraft, which are needed today to protect Polish skies," the Polish Foreign Minister said.
Sikorski also emphasized that Warsaw could provide Kyiv with planes with the help of its partners: if the allies contribute to patrolling Polish airspace.
- On July 19, Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Zvarych said that Warsaw could transfer all of its MiG-29 fighter jets to Kyiv.
- On July 21, former Polish Minister of National Defense Janusz Onyszkiewicz said that Polish MiG-29 aircraft could appear in Ukraine in about six months, but it would depend on the timing of their replacement with new American F-35s.
