Netherlands to allocate €500 million in drone development for Ukraine

The Netherlands announced it will allocate €500 million for a drone production project for Ukraine to continue its fight against Russian aggression

The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands reported the information.

€500 million is part of a €2 billion accelerated funding package that the Netherlands decided to allocate in 2025, the Dutch Ministry of Defense stated.

Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans and State Secretary of Defense Gijs Tuinman announced this during their visit to Ukraine.

"It was important to declare that we are providing Ukraine with €2 billion in accelerated support, including a €500 million drone project. These drones will be crucial on the battlefield and will literally save lives," the ministry quoted Brekelmans.

The minister emphasized that this support will help strengthen Ukraine's position both on the front lines and at the negotiating table.
