Lithuania launches rehabilitation program for wounded Ukrainian servicemen

Lithuania is launching a special rehabilitation program for wounded Ukrainian soldiers. The government has allocated about EUR 15 million for this purpose

Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė shared the information, the press service of Ukraine’s Ministry of Health reports.

It noted that the funds will be used directly for the reconstruction of hospitals and training of specialists. 

Šimonytė emphasized that the Ukrainian Armed Forces defend not only Ukraine, but also Lithuania and the whole of Europe.

"Today Lithuania is launching a special rehabilitation program for wounded Ukrainian soldiers. We will contribute to the development of the relevant infrastructure and services of the three Baltic countries in Lviv, Dnipro and Zhytomyr," the Lithuanian Prime Minister said.

The country's authorities called on other states to join the assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
