Defense Express reports.

Lithuania's Vice-Minister of National Defense, Monika Koroliovienė, has confirmed that €10 million will be allocated to support the production of Ukraine's domestic missile-drone, Palianytsia. This information was announced by Ukraine's Defense Ministry.

Lithuania is prepared to invest in Ukraine's long-range weaponry, particularly in Palianytsia missile-drones, which are essentially cruise missiles. These drones are believed to have been used in the September 18 strike on Russian ammunition depots.

It is worth noting that this long-range weapon has a range of up to 750 km and is powered by a turbojet engine, allowing it to reach speeds between 500 and 950 km/h.

Representatives from the defense ministries of Lithuania and Ukraine discussed the practical application and funding for this project. Further details are expected to be finalized during the upcoming visit of Lithuania's Defense Minister, Laurynas Kasčiūnas.

Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister, Serhii Boiev, emphasized that the investments, following the Danish model, will accelerate production, and the enemy will soon feel the effects.

Previously, Denmark was the first to finance Ukrainian weaponry for the front lines, purchasing 18 self-propelled howitzers (2S22 Bohdana), which were delivered just two months after the order was placed.
