The German government plans to significantly increase military aid to Ukraine in 2026 to over €11.5 billion. The funds are intended for artillery, drones, armored vehicles, and Patriot air defense systems

According to the report, Germany's draft budget for 2026 allocates over €11.5 billion for aid to Kyiv.

"Last week, information from government circles indicated that additional funds would be directed, among other things, to artillery, drones, and armored vehicles, as well as to the acquisition of two Patriot air defense systems," the publication noted.

The Bundestag's budget committee will meet on Thursday, November 13, for a so-called reconciliation meeting to finalize the draft budget for 2026.

  • On October 15, in Brussels, at a Ramstein meeting, Germany announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth over €2 billion and plans to modernize already supplied weapons.
