Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko reported the information on her Telegram channel.

“Germany continues to strengthen its energy support for Ukraine and is contributing €60 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund to accelerate the delivery of generators, critical energy equipment, and mobile power plants to Ukrainian communities,” she said.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed Ukraine’s preparation for the heating season and measures to enhance energy security.

“We agreed to establish a joint energy working group and expand industrial cooperation,” Svyrydenko noted.

She also announced a Ukrainian-German business forum to be held in December in Berlin.

In addition, the Ukrainian side proposed that Germany conclude an intergovernmental agreement to support investors — following the example of arrangements already in place in Denmark, the Netherlands, France, and Switzerland.

“I thanked Germany for its active position on the use of frozen Russian assets. Today, macro-financial support remains vital — and our German partners consistently back every initiative aimed at directing these assets to help Ukraine and bring victory, and peace, closer,” the Prime Minister concluded.

Reiche arrives in Kyiv

Reuters was the first to report on the visit of Germany’s Economy Minister.

"Ukraine is facing its fourth winter at war, and right now Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine's energy supply, massively endangering electricity and heat provision in the winter," Reiche stated.

According to her, urgent help is needed to restore and secure the energy supply, and she promised during her trip to find out how Germany can provide more concrete and effective support in this area.

In addition to the preservation and restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, the focus of the visit will be the expansion of German-Ukrainian defense cooperation.

"Security policy is always also economic policy," said Reiche, adding that her goal is to bring German and Ukrainian defense companies closer together.

  • President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on the eve of the Coalition of the Willing summit. In particular, they discussed strengthening air defense and protecting the energy sector.
