EU announces €140 million humanitarian aid package for Ukraine, Moldova

The funding was revealed during a visit to Ukraine by European Commissioner for Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, who discussed the ongoing humanitarian challenges amid Ukraine's war with Russia. The aid aims to support essential needs such as food, shelter, clean water, and heating for Ukraine’s population.
Lahbib emphasized the EU's continued commitment, stating, "Our new funding of 148 million euros in humanitarian support is more powerful proof that we stand with Ukrainians in their hour of need. We will continue to do everything in our power to help those affected by this crisis with all our partners and the Ukrainian authorities."
