The aid package is announced on the website of the Danish Defense Ministry.
It states that with its help, Denmark, together with the Czech Republic, will finance the purchase of 15,000 155-mm artillery rounds. They will be delivered to Ukraine within a few months.
In addition, the 15th aid package from Denmark will include radars, communication devices, drone equipment from Danish companies, missiles for air defense systems, demining equipment, and drones.
"The war in Ukraine is entering its third year, and continued military support for Ukraine is absolutely crucial for the war's outcome. That is why I am happy that in cooperation with close partners and with the broad support of the Danish Parliament, we are now making another significant contribution to the Ukrainians on the battlefield, who are fighting not only for the freedom of Ukraine, but also for the security of the whole of Europe," said the Danish Foreign Minister.
At the same time, DR, referring to Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, informs about the signing of an agreement between Ukraine and Denmark on the provision of security guarantees.
It states that Denmark is committed to supporting Ukraine in both the military and civilian spheres over the next ten years. The agreement will be financed from the Ukraine Fund, which is currently estimated at $10 billion.
"This is the most serious security situation since the end of the Cold War. And the Danish government cannot emphasize enough how important it is for Ukraine to get the military capabilities it needs. If we do not stand together, Ukraine will not survive, and then perhaps Europe will not survive either," the prime minister said.
