Denmark announces 25th aid package to Ukraine worth €871 million
Denmark will provide air defense, artillery, and financial support to Ukraine between 2025-2027, marking its 25th aid package
On April 3, Denmark announced the allocation of a new, 25th aid package to Ukraine. The assistance will be delivered between 2025 and 2027.
This was reported by the Danish Ministry of Defense's press service.
The aid package, worth 6.7 billion Danish kroner (approximately 871 million euros), includes air defense systems, artillery, and financial support for Ukraine's Air Force.
"Since the beginning of the war, Denmark has been one of the leading donor countries. With this 25th donation package, we reaffirm our support for Ukraine in both the short-term and long-term," said Danish Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen.
For his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen emphasized that "Ukraine's security is crucial for the future of all of Europe."
"I hope our donation will inspire other allies to provide even more support," the country's top diplomat emphasized.
The funds will be directed towards strengthening artillery, purchasing ammunition through partners, air defense, as well as the development of drone and IT coalitions.
In 2026-2027, additional funds will be allocated to further contributions to the development of Ukraine’s defense industry under the "Danish model," which promotes Ukraine’s economy and allows for faster supply of necessary equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This will enable the Danish Ministry of Defense to begin negotiations with Ukraine on long-term funding needs. A total of 2 billion Danish kroner is earmarked for this.
- Last year, under the "Danish model," partners purchased nearly $1 billion worth of weaponry for the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Ukrainian enterprises.
