Martin Ondráček, co-leader of the initiative, told iDNES about this.

He reported that as of Monday, there was already over 16 million Czech crowns in the fundraising wallet – while the planned amount of 12.5 million crowns for one missile was raised within the first two days.

"We spoke with the manufacturer, the Ukrainian company Fire Point. They told us they would double the donation," Ondráček said.

The missiles purchased with Czech donations will be named after the Czech scientist and nuclear physicist Dana Drábová – DANA 1 and DANA 2.

"We will know more about the delivery dates next week," Ondráček said.

How the additional money, which was raised after reaching the target amount, will be spent is still being decided.

"We thought about what to do with the 'surplus' and decided that it would be best to let subscribers vote on X... We have several open fundraisers," Ondráček noted.

  • In the summer, the initiative transferred a Black Hawk UH-60 helicopter to Ukraine, for which a fundraiser was announced in November 2023.
