AFU repel Russian attacks in area of 19 settlements  

The General Staff of the Armed Forces reports about this in the morning briefing on February 9.

On February 8, units of the Defense Forces repelled the attacks of the occupiers in the areas of 19 settlements of the Luhansk, Donetsk region and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Defense forces hit 2 command posts, 2 ammunition depots and several areas of Russian concentration

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces conducted 21 strikes on the areas of Russian personnel concentration and military equipment and 3 strikes on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems. 

Ukrainian artillery and rocketeers hit 2 enemy control points, 3 areas of manpower concentration, 3 positions of anti-aircraft missile systems, 2 ammunition depots and a fuel and lubricant depot.

Invaders are looting en masse in Zaporizhzhia region

In the village of Kokhane, Vasylivka district, Zaporizhzhia region, Russian occupying forces are massively looting.

Russian forces are focused on the offensive in the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka sectors

Invaders, trying to take full control over Donetsk and Luhansk regions, continues to focus on offensive operations on the Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka directions in the areas of Kreminna, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Opytne, Marinka and Vuhledar.

Russian troops are also actively using operational-tactical and army aviation to launch strikes at the positions of Ukrainian troops.

Russia carried out 3 missile and 45 air strikes and fired 67 MLRS attacks on Ukraine

During the day, the Russian occupiers launched 3 missile and 45 air strikes. As a result 3 civilians are killed and 3 others are in serious condition. 

In addition, the enemy fired 67 times from multiple launch rocket systems, in particular, at civilian infrastructure in the Kherson region.

The threat of further Russian air and missile strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

No signs of offensive groups were detected in the Northern and Northeastern Ukrainian border. Howeverб over 40 settlements were shelled in Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions.

There are deaths and injuries among the civilian population, and a large number of civilian residential buildings have been damaged.

Areas of more than 25 settlements were affected by the fire in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions.

Russian troops conducted airstrikes near Kotlyarivka and Tabaivka in Kharkiv region and Serebryansk forestry in Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut sector, more than 30 localities came under fire.

In the Avdiivka and Vuhledar sectors, more than 20 localities in the Donetsk region came under hostile fire.

Air strikes were conducted near Spirne, Avdiivka, Vesele, Krasnohorivka and Vuhledar.

In the Zaporizhzhia sector, 2 settlements in the Donetsk region and 11 in Zaporizhzhia were hit by fire.

In the Kherson sector, hostile fire hit the areas of the 16 populated areas.

• The day before, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Serhiy Haidai, said that the maximum escalation was being recorded in the Luhansk region in the Kreminna sector, with Russians trying to break through the Ukrainian defense line.

• ISW predicts that the pace of Russian operations along the Svatove-Kreminna line in western Luhansk region has increased, but it is weak and could turn into a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian army.
