Sergey Polyakov, the commander of the 14th Separate Special Guard Brigade of the Russian army, died in war against Ukraine
It was reported by Ukrainian journalist Denys Kazanskyi with reference to social networks on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
"On February 3, the 14th brigade commander Sergey Polyakov was killed in Donbas," he said.
Sergey Yurievich Polyakov held the rank of Colonel of the Guard.
His brigade is subordinate to the Russian GRU military special service.
The place of permanent deployment is Ussuriysk, Primorsky Krai, Russian Federation.
Before the war in Ukraine, the brigade participated in the hostilities in Chechnya and Syria.
