AFU launch 9 strikes on Russian army's concentration areas, destroy Su-25 attack aircraft and 7 drones over one day

Over the last day, Ukrainian aviation launched 9 strikes on the areas of the Russian personnel and military equipment concentration. In addition, the Ukrainian military destroyed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft near Marinka

This was informed on April 8 in the General Staff's daily report.

Russia also lost 7 UAVs, including: 3 of the Orlan type, 3 of the Lancet type, and 1 of the Merlin type. It is also noted that missile and artillery units hit 1 control center, 2 areas of manpower concentration and destroyed the Russians' ammunition depot.

The Russian occupiers are focusing their main efforts on offensives in four directions

"During the day of April 7, the adversary launched 2 missile and 35 air strikes, more than 40 MLRS attacks," the statement said.

It is noted that Russian forces continue to focus their main efforts on offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions.

Northern and northeastern Ukrainian borders: the Russian troops fired at 2 settlements in Chernihiv region; 3 in Sumy region, and 11 in Kharkiv region.

Kupiansk direction: 7 settlements in Kharkiv region and 1 in Luhansk region came under enemy fire.

Lyman direction: 6 localities in Luhansk region and 4 in Donetsk region were shelled with artillery.

Bakhmut direction: more than 25 localities in the combat zone suffered from Russians’ shelling, including 11 localities in Donetsk region.

Avdiivka and Marinka direction: 10 localities in Donetsk region came under hostile fire.

Vuhledar direction: the Russian forces attacked 8 localities in Donetsk region.

Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions: the Russian enemy attacked more than 40 localities. Among them – 5 settlements in Zaporizhzhya region; 4 in Kherson region, as well as the city of Kherson.

"In the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, Russian occupiers have intensified preparations to evacuate the locals to the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea," the statement reads.

In particular, in Melitopol and Skadovsk, the Russians organized a poll of the local population regarding possible evacuation. During the survey, they check if a person has a Russian passport,  his or her place of residence, and the level of education. Buses with people willing to evacuate are periodically departing. The occupying forces are spreading information that the forced evacuation of civilians will begin at the end of April.
