AFU de-occupy 12 settlements in Kherson region over a day - Zaluzhnyi
In the course of only one day, AFU liberated 12 settlements in the Kherson region. In total, up to 1,381 square kilometers have been de-occupied since October 1.
"Behind every so-called good will gesture of the enemy are the colossal efforts of our troops. Just as it was with the withdrawal from Kyiv, Kharkiv regions, and Zmiinyi Island, the likely withdrawal from Kherson is the result of our fighting. In the direction of Kherson, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed Russian logistical routes and support systems, and disrupted the enemy's troop management system. Thus, Ukraine left Russian forces no other option than to flee," Zaluzhnyi emphasized.
The commander-in-chief said that he can neither confirm nor deny the information about the "withdrawal" of Russian troops from Kherson. Therefore, the Armed Forces continue to advance according to the previous plan.
Yesterday, Ukrainian soldiers advanced 7 km forward and took control of 6 settlements in the direction of Petropavlivka-Novoraisk. That amounts up to 107 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory.
In Pervomaisk-Kherson direction, Ukrainian fighters also de-occupied 6 settlements amounting to 157 square kilometers, advancing 7 km forward.
In total, since October 1, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated up to 1,381 square kilometers in the Kherson direction or 41 settlements. The military advanced 36,5 km into the depth of the enemy's defense.
"Believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and our victory!" added Zaluzhnyi.
