This was reported by the UK Ministry of Defence.
It is noted that in early December, the 104th Guards Airborne Division of the Russian Federation suffered heavy losses and failed to achieve its objectives near the village of Krynky on the left bank of the Kherson region.
Intelligence suggests that the Russian troops had little support from aviation and artillery, and many of the soldiers were probably inexperienced.
Following the failure, Russian "milbloggers" called on commander Mikhail Teplinsky to resign: "This is a blow to Teplinsky's reputation as one of the more capable Russian field commanders of the war."
- On November 8, the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) estimated the number of Ukrainian troops at the bridgehead along the left bank of the Kherson region at several hundred.
