After Russia loses the war, Ukraine will have a great chance to NATO, EU - political analyst Horbach
Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation’s Political analyst Volodymyr Horbach emphasised that the ultimatum set out by Russia before the invasion could not be accepted under any circumstances
He shared his thoughts in a live interview with Espreso TV.
“The main thing is Russia’s contract incapacity. The ultimatum they’ve brought out to Ukraine, the West, USA and the North Atlantic Alliance before the invasion could not be accepted under any circumstances. Kreml’s evaluation of the situation is inadequate, they are incapable of negotiation. There’s only one way to solve this problem - to win on the battlefield. Only after a battlefield victory can we talk about a new picture of the world and new possibilities. This will also open possibilities for Ukraine to become a member of not only the EU, but also the North Atlantic Alliance.”
The political analyst added that Russia is continuing to reinforce its fifth column and its agency in the West.
“Russia continues threatening the Western world with nuclear weapons and nuclear bombs, and continues reinforcing its fifth column and agency in the West, stimulating the West for reconciliatory acts. The same thing is happening on the war front as well. Russians think they can take control over the Luhansk region and then go to negotiations, causing the Western politicians and analysts to nudge president Zelenskyi to compromise with Russia. But all we hear from the Ukrainian government and the president is that no betrayal or negotiations will happen, ‘Minsk-3’ will not be a thing. Ukraine’s future is being decided on the battlefield. We have to be set and fight for Ukraine’s interests. Because that’s what politics are all about.”
