During the day, August 18, Russian forces shelled the Sumy region 7 times. There were no victims, but there was destruction. About 100 strikes were recorded in the territories of Bilopolska, Krasnopilska and Myropilska communities.
"Bilopolska community: the enemy shelled the community from the territory of the Russian Federation with barrel artillery - 15 hits. As a result of the shelling, a non-residential building and school premises were damaged. It was about half past ten in the morning. At 19:55, mortar shelling began - 10 hits. And at 20:00 artillery shelling began, 20 airstrikes," the report says.
At 13:50, the Krasnopilska community was shelled. Russian forces opened fire with a mortar - 7 hits.
From 14:20, 120-mm mortar fire continued in the Myropil community - 15 hits. Continued at 17.30. Civilian infrastructure was damaged.
