The journalist Andriy Tsaplienko reports.
In the footage of Russian propagandists, “Birdie” communicates in Ukrainian. The girl is convinced that if she had a choice now - to stay in Mariupol or run away, she would stay.
Kateryna also tries to joke and notes that she is ashamed only in front of her mother, because she used obscene language in one of the videos.
At the same time, the footage shows that the Russians labeled Polishchuk a "sniper", although she is a paramedic of the "Hospitaliers" medical battalion, and during the video she emphasizes that she is not a sniper.
Kateryna Polishchuk was called “Birdie” by her siblings. She sang songs in the Azovstal dungeon to encourage the defenders of Mariupol.
