9,400 citizens, including 461 children died in Ukraine due to Russian shelling
Due to terrorist attacks, death toll among civilian population is increasing daily. According to National Police, more than 9,400 civilians died and about 6,800 were injured
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevhen Yenin said this live on air of united TV marathon.
"There are children among them: since the beginning of Russian invasion of Ukraine, 461 children have died," Yenin said.
According to him, police are constantly documenting new crimes committed by Russian forces in the territories liberated by Ukrainian troops. He added that Russian troops continue to strike critical infrastructure. Currently, there is no power supply in 507 settlements in eight regions of our country. Kharkiv region is the most affected, where 112 settlements have been cut off, Donetsk and Kherson regions – more than 90.
"As soon as Russian troops escaped from Kherson, they started shelling civilians every day. Investigating units of Ukrainian National Police have already documented about 600 war crimes in the de-occupied territory of Kherson region. In Kharkiv region, which is under fire the most, investigators have documented 3,400 war crimes. In the past day, additional 41 war crimes. In the de-occupied territory of Kharkiv region, about 900 bodies have already been found, 700 of which are civilians, more than 80 are military personnel, and more than 100 are military personnel of Russian Federation. 111 bodies have been discovered in Kherson region, of 75 of which are civilians," first deputy head of Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
